My Hufflepuff Robe

This black and gold velvet robe is loosely based on styles popular in 16th century Italy, Spain, and England.  Worn with or without sleeves, it could be slipped on over a night dress to allow milady to receive visitors in her chambers.

My version has tied-on open-top black velvet sleeves trimmed with gold rose buttons, straight fronts, and a back yoke with small pleats on either side of the deep middle pleat. The trim is imitation leather with gold and black scrollwork.

The black sweep of the train is about three feet, excellent for coronations or dinner parties.
